[ET Net News Agency, 29 September 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$159.99 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$20.38 billion, or 12.74% of the
market's turnover. There were 734 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and XIAOMI-W
(01810) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.3 billion and HK$1.81
billion, or 16.2% and 8.88% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 24.7% and 20.65% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and LI AUTO-W (02015) registered HK$1.27 billion and HK$687.01 million
of short sales, accounting for 6.24% and 3.37% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 20.62% and 27.59% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed up HK$5.2, or 3.12%, to HK$171.7. XIAOMI-W ended down HK$1.15, or 2.1%, to
HK$53.5. TENCENT rose HK$12.5, or 1.94% to HK$656.5. LI AUTO-W declined by HK$0.9, or
0.9%, to HK$99.2.
