HK$231.15 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$44.98 billion, or 19.46% of the
market's turnover. There were 815 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS
TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$5.41 billion and HK$5.23
billion, or 12.02% and 11.62% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 38.89% and 60.4% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$4.63 billion and HK$3.03 billion of
short sales, accounting for 10.3% and 6.73% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 19.96% and 50.11% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.22, or 0.85%, to HK$26.04. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.075,
or 1.38%, to HK$5.5. BABA-W rose HK$3.3, or 2.14% to HK$157.8. HSCEI ETF jumped HK$0.86,
or 0.93%, to HK$93.5.
