HK$245.14 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$58.86 billion, or 24.01% of the
market's turnover. There were 813 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS
TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$18.25 billion and HK$5.09
billion, or 31.01% and 8.66% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 59.15% and 49.04% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$2.84 billion and HK$2.25 billion of
short sales, accounting for 4.83% and 3.82% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 44.25% and 22.01% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.02, or 0.08%, to HK$26. CSOP HS TECH ended down HK$0.025, or
0.45%, to HK$5.47. HSCEI ETF fell HK$0.06, or 0.06% to HK$93.44. BABA-W declined by
HK$1.6, or 1.02%, to HK$154.8.
