[ET Net News Agency, 17 November 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$118.47 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$18.59 billion, or 15.69% of the
market's turnover. There were 773 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.69 billion and HK$2.17
billion, or 14.44% and 11.68% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 25.04% and 30% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$1.65 billion and HK$598.12
million of short sales, accounting for 8.86% and 3.22% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 59.14% and 15.35% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed down HK$0.9, or 0.58%, to HK$154. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.22, or
0.82%, to HK$26.5. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.075, or 1.31% to HK$5.63. HSCEI ETF declined by
HK$0.84, or 0.87%, to HK$95.22.
