[ET Net News Agency, 6 October 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$72.34
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$9.9 billion, or 13.69% of the market's
turnover. There were 713 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W (09988) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.33 billion and HK$648.53 million, or
13.45% and 6.55% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
29.01% and 11.52% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$444.35 million and HK$430.34
million of short sales, accounting for 4.49% and 4.35% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 21.45% and 43.83% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.16, or 0.58%, to HK$27.62. BABA-W ended down HK$4.2, or
2.27%, to HK$180.9. MEITUAN-W fell HK$0.2, or 0.19% to HK$105.9. HSCEI ETF declined by
HK$0.84, or 0.85%, to HK$97.78.
