[ET Net News Agency, 3 October 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$77.93
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$9.91 billion, or 12.71% of the market's
turnover. There were 713 short-selling stocks. KUAISHOU-W (01024) and BABA-W (09988) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$697.78 million and HK$624.19 million, or
7.04% and 6.3% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
32.48% and 11.93% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$470.39 million and HK$458.49
million of short sales, accounting for 4.75% and 4.63% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 25.17% and 12.99% of respective stock's
turnover.
KUAISHOU-W closed down HK$3.25, or 3.54%, to HK$88.6. BABA-W ended up HK$0.6, or 0.33%,
to HK$183.7. MEITUAN-W fell HK$0.2, or 0.19% to HK$105.6. CSOP HS TECH declined by
HK$0.095, or 1.45%, to HK$6.465.
