HK$222.47 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$31.27 billion, or 14.06% of the
market's turnover. There were 759 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and BIDU-SW (09888)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.81 billion and HK$1.97 billion, or
8.99% and 6.3% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
16% and 43.85% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and KUAISHOU-W (01024) registered HK$1.88 billion and HK$1.62 billion of
short sales, accounting for 6.02% and 5.18% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 16.23% and 23.56% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W closed up HK$6.1, or 3.45%, to HK$183.1. BIDU-SW ended up HK$6, or 4.5%, to
HK$139.2. TENCENT rose HK$13.5, or 2.04% to HK$676.5. KUAISHOU-W jumped HK$7.25, or 8.57%,
to HK$91.85.
