HK$123.98 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$15.47 billion, or 12.48% of the
market's turnover. There were 722 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and KUAISHOU-W
(01024) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.47 billion and HK$880.88
million, or 9.48% and 5.69% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 15.07% and 19.46% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and BIDU-SW (09888) registered HK$862.02 million and HK$793.49 million
of short sales, accounting for 5.57% and 5.13% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 14.42% and 41.33% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed up HK$7, or 3.95%, to HK$184. KUAISHOU-W ended up HK$5.55, or 6.56%, to
HK$90.15. TENCENT rose HK$15.5, or 2.34% to HK$678.5. BIDU-SW jumped HK$6, or 4.5%, to
HK$139.2.
