HK$314.93 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$37.72 billion, or 11.98% of the
market's turnover. There were 767 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.6 billion and HK$2.04
billion, or 9.55% and 5.42% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 15.08% and 19.48% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$1.7 billion and HK$1.52 billion of
short sales, accounting for 4.51% and 4.03% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 12.46% and 13.32% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W closed up HK$3.6, or 2.08%, to HK$177. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.28, or 1.03%,
to HK$27.52. TENCENT rose HK$3, or 0.45% to HK$663. XIAOMI-W jumped HK$0.45, or 0.84%, to
HK$54.
