HK$285.58 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$44.79 billion, or 15.68% of the
market's turnover. There were 751 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER
FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.13 billion and HK$3.35
billion, or 9.22% and 7.49% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 59.57% and 31.14% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$2.21 billion and HK$2.09 billion of
short sales, accounting for 4.93% and 4.67% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 18.96% and 20.14% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.14, or 2.59%, to HK$5.54. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.22, or
0.86%, to HK$25.84. TENCENT rose HK$7, or 1.18% to HK$600. HSCEI ETF jumped HK$1.04, or
1.13%, to HK$92.84.
