[ET Net News Agency, 22 August 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$149.77 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$22.08 billion, or 14.74% of the
market's turnover. There were 709 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER
FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.26 billion and HK$2.1
billion, or 10.24% and 9.49% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 61.64% and 34.97% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$1.23 billion and HK$1.22 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.57% and 5.51% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 20.38% and 19.05% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.085, or 1.57%, to HK$5.485. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.06,
or 0.23%, to HK$25.68. TENCENT rose HK$8.5, or 1.43% to HK$601.5. HSCEI ETF jumped
HK$0.44, or 0.48%, to HK$92.24.
