[ET Net News Agency, 20 August 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$285.29 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$36.57 billion, or 12.82% of the
market's turnover. There were 751 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and XIAOMI-W
(01810) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.2 billion and HK$2.08
billion, or 11.48% and 5.7% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 16.73% and 25.22% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and POP MART (09992) registered HK$1.61 billion and HK$1.11 billion of
short sales, accounting for 4.41% and 3.03% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 17.14% and 9.64% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.04, or 0.16%, to HK$25.66. XIAOMI-W ended up HK$0.15, or
0.29%, to HK$52.55. TENCENT fell HK$2, or 0.34% to HK$590.5. POP MART jumped HK$35.2, or
12.54%, to HK$316.
