[ET Net News Agency, 19 August 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$135.87 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$20.65 billion, or 15.2% of the
market's turnover. There were 715 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS
TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.32 billion and HK$1.41
billion, or 20.93% and 6.85% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 42.06% and 41.5% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$839.94 million and HK$802.05 million
of short sales, accounting for 4.07% and 3.88% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 34.31% and 20.22% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.08, or 0.31%, to HK$25.74. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.005,
or 0.09%, to HK$5.485. XIAOMI-W 0flat to HK$53.05. TENCENT jumped HK$5.5, or 0.94%, to
HK$592.5.
