[ET Net News Agency, 18 August 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$171.96 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$24.6 billion, or 14.31% of the
market's turnover. There were 726 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.06 billion and HK$2.17
billion, or 12.45% and 8.84% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 34.99% and 36.52% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and HUA HONG SEMI (01347) registered HK$1.66 billion and HK$816.97
million of short sales, accounting for 6.75% and 3.32% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 18.02% and 18.53% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed up HK$1.04, or 1.13%, to HK$93.44. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.105, or
1.93%, to HK$5.555. TRACKER FUND rose HK$0.16, or 0.62% to HK$25.96. HUA HONG SEMI
declined by HK$3.02, or 5.89%, to HK$48.28.
