[ET Net News Agency, 15 August 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$312.69 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$65.23 billion, or 20.86% of the
market's turnover. There were 742 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$15.9 billion and HK$6.39
billion, or 24.38% and 9.8% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 53.75% and 46.7% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$2.95 billion and HK$2.86 billion
of short sales, accounting for 4.52% and 4.38% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 22.52% and 36.74% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.22, or 0.85%, to HK$25.8. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$0.92, or
0.99%, to HK$92.4. BABA-W fell HK$3.7, or 3.04% to HK$118.1. CSOP HS TECH declined by
HK$0.025, or 0.46%, to HK$5.45.
