HK$270.12 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$34.27 billion, or 12.69% of the
market's turnover. There were 738 short-selling stocks. TENCENT (00700) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.14 billion and HK$1.48
billion, or 9.15% and 4.33% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 14.52% and 28.26% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and PING AN (02318) registered HK$1.47 billion and HK$1.4 billion of
short sales, accounting for 4.3% and 4.08% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 14.3% and 27.48% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT closed up HK$4, or 0.68%, to HK$590. CSOP HS TECH ended down HK$0.05, or 0.9%,
to HK$5.475. BABA-W fell HK$1.9, or 1.54% to HK$121.8. PING AN jumped HK$1.1, or 1.94%, to
HK$57.9.
