[ET Net News Agency, 18 November 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$134.5 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$19.59 billion, or 14.56% of the
market's turnover. There were 789 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.24 billion and HK$1.02
billion, or 11.44% and 5.2% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 25.19% and 13.88% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$940.62 million and HK$802.78
million of short sales, accounting for 4.8% and 4.1% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 19.24% and 44.93% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed up HK$1.8, or 1.16%, to HK$156.7. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.38, or
1.43%, to HK$26.14. XIAOMI-W fell HK$1.24, or 2.96% to HK$40.72. HSCEI ETF declined by
HK$1.44, or 1.51%, to HK$94.
